Nestro Birch Heat Logs expand significantly as they burn, so they should be broken into halves or smaller pieces before use, particularly in smaller stoves. Start with smaller pieces and gradually add larger sections as the fire develops. Store the briquettes in a completely dry, covered environment and never leave them exposed to outdoor moisture.
